Though both methods do the job, your choice depends on a number of factors. If you want the ability to discreetly monitor more than just the location of your son’s phone, a parental control app is probably the best solution for you. If it’s just location tracking you need—and you trust your son not to deactivate it—then Find My is a free solution.
